About Atol Motorsport Services

The Company was founded by Ian Mulliner who at the age of 18 whilst recovering from a motorcycle accident got involved in karting and specifically the building and tuning of other people's kart engines. The business soon developed a reputation for efficiency and accuracy and it quickly picked up the supply of control fuel for a number of karting and bike racing championships. As the reputation of Atol grew they also developed their portfolio of customers to include Renault Motorsport amongst other high profile manufacturers and championship sponsors.

During 2007 Ian became aware of an emerging local Company named Wessex Petroleum Ltd who were active in the general fuels and lubricant markets with the Exxon Mobil range of products and were beginning to develop their sales in the Motorsport world including McLaren. It soon became apparent that the business culture of both Wessex Petroleum and Atol Fuel were similar and by early 2008 the two companies joined forces when Atol Fuel was acquired by Wessex Petroleum in February 2008.

Since acquisition the company has added Panta Race Fuel, Mobil 1 Lubricants and Maxima racing products to the already established Elf Racing product line giving a platform for a strong offering to the world of Motorsport.
